The Fazley Odyssey FST804VWH-MSC: Scalloped Fretboard
The scalloped maple fretboard is exactly what makes this Fazley model so fierce. The space between each of the 21 frets has been gracefully dug out to create a furrow, so that only a light touch is needed to press the strings against the frets. This is not only easier on the fret hand but supports extreme bends, lightening-fast arpeggios, and tapping-techniques. While producing a scalloped neck is usually a pretty labour-intensive process, Fazley have managed to keep the price as low as possible, making this detailed instrument accessible to anyone.
A Rising Force!
The balanced foundation of the Fazley Odyssey is provided by a lightweight basswood body with a classic, comfortable and familiar ST-shape. Loaded with a just-as-classic set of three passive single-coil pickups coupled with a detailed set of tone and volume controls and a five-way selector switch, this guitar grants access to anything from warm and sultry tone, to bright, spanking bite, and delicious mid-range growl. In short, this thoughtful model gives you the kind of tonal flexibility and pro-grade specs that should cost at least twice the price.

Une guitare très surprenante, rappelant le modèle signature, mythique, d'Yngwie J. Malmsteen (d'où le nom " Odyssey "). Possédant déjà deux de ces modèles signatures, j'ai voulu voir par curiosité ce qu'allait donner cette guitare " Fazley ".
Au niveau des finitions ou du confort, ne vous attendez pas à avoir celles du modèle Fender, ce qui est évident (et logique).
Néanmoins, la guitare (dans mon cas) reste jouable, le scallopage est très bien effectué, la tenue d'accordage est correcte. Compte tenu du prix de 172€, elle mérite 5 étoiles !

The neck would have looked better had it not been stained the feel of the neck is rough the scollops are at different depths in places and the frets need a polish. There is a small crack in the body where the neck bolts on the body is 44mm and yellow not vintage white as stated.
The strap buttons screws are to small and come away after 5 minutes the nut is 42mm and 54mm bridge in order to lower the action a neck shim would be needed.
